Balancing home life and a business...any suggestions?

My son has been on Easter break this week....and I've come to the conclusion that this is going to be a very loooooonnnggg summer! I MUST find a summer day camp - it's actually harder than it sounds!

I've gotten absolutely nothing done so far this week....so sad 'cause I have all these great ideas but I just can't execute them because I have no TIME!!! As I write this he's upstairs calling me...and calling me....and calling me! WHAT, WHAT, WHAT???

It makes me wonder....How do mothers who work from their home and have preschool children do it? What is the secret to balancing family and a home based business? If you are reading this and you know...please tell me!

So, with that being said, I'm so sorry that I have no updates, new designs, or pictures to show you. I told my husband that I need Saturday afternoon for studio time. That will be my time to play!!!

Oh Sandra, I so know how you feel! I certainly went through that stage when my daughter was young. She is 14 now...so it is a bit better. Now she is into computers (her computer is right next to my husband's, so she is still well supervised) so I do get a little more time to myself.

I did put her in daycamp close by when she was in middle school, but with having to drive her & pick her up...it really didn't give me much quality time.

Sorry if this sounds like I have no real answers..what worked best for me was realizing that summer was her vacation, too, and I resigned to spend time with her & not worry so much about my crafts.

Have a nice holiday!

I don't know how any moms to youngsters do it. You have to have a great childcare sharing partner, or just great childcare in general. I'm also searching out a daycamp for my kids this summer. I found one, but it's only a week. Summer school is at least 3 weeks of half days.

I may have found another mother willing to trade summer childcare with me, where we each do 3 days a week of childcare.

hee hee. I think you struck a nerve with this one.
